JONAH GAVI
SCHWARTZ

What's up!
My name is Jonah Gavi Schwartz! I was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland and have grown up performing with theater companies throughout the D.C. Metro Area. After graduating as valedictorian of my high school class, I went on to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre at Penn State University, where I will graduate this May! Some of my favorite Penn State credits include playing Charlie in Brigadoon, and performing in the first production of tony-nominated composer Joe Iconis’s Family Album. I’m also grateful for the opportunity to have worked at some cool regional venues, including my performances as Huckleberry Finn in Adventure Theatre & Lyric Theatre Oklahoma's world premiere production of Huck Finn’s Big River (Helen Hayes Nomination - Outstanding Lead Actor), The Last Grove - an off-Broadway musical workshop conceived by the Atlantic Theatre Company (writer and performer), and most recently, Moontime at The Kennedy Center!
In my free time, I love writing poetry, running outdoors, watching queer coming of age movies, making lists, applying ample sunscreen, shopping for stickers, counting my freckles, and cooking a mean spinach artichoke dip.
